A sad and melancholic South American - Brazilian chorinho. 
It is a sophisticated mixture of symphonic strings, bandolim (mandolin), acoustic piano and bass, plus traditional samba percussion.
It starts out really slow with a few pauses, then picks up towards the end with a soft samba groove.
